World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria gets September release

World of Warcraft's fourth expansion Mists of Pandaria is to be released to fans on September 25th.

Mists of Pandaria, the forthcoming expansion to the massive multiplayer online (MMO) role playing game Worlds of Warcraft is set for release on September 25th.

The fourth expansion for the world's most popular subscription-based MMO, Mists of Pandaria will give players the opportunity to traverse the long-lost continent of Pandaria on a quest to uncover its secrets.

Along with the standard edition of the game, which will be available for around £34.99, a Collector's Edition is to be released that offers a wealth of extra in-game content.

This includes the Imperial Quilen flying mount, the Lucky Quilen Cub and StarCraft II and Diablo III-themed extras, such as portraits, banner sigils and accents.

Alongside the in-game content, the Collector's Edition, which is priced at around £59.99, comes with a behind-the-scenes DVD to learn about how the title was created, a CD soundtrack with 20 orchestral pieces, a 208-page hardcover book with early concept art from the expansion and a Chen Stormstour mouse pad to give your desk a World of Warcraft makeover.

Mists of Pandaria itself adds a new playable race entitled the Pandaren, a playable Monk class, a level cap increase to 90, new zones and scenarios and a new talent system.

The Pandaren are a first in World of Warcraft as they as the first neutral race, belonging to neither the Alliance nor the Horde, giving players the option to pick. The Monk is a master of the race's martial arts and can work as either a damage dealer, healer or tank.

"Mists of Pandaria contains the biggest variety of new content we’ve ever created for a World of Warcraftexpansion, with features that will appeal to new players, veterans, and everyone in between,” said Mike Morhaime, chief executive officer and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment.

"We’ve received a lot of great feedback from players during our most extensive beta test yet, and we hope they enjoy exploring everything Pandaria has to offer when the expansion comes out in September."ADNFCR-1220-ID-801415958-ADNFCR
