Max Payne 3 to get some Local Justice

The first Max Payne 3 DLC, Local Justice, is to bring an array of new content to the multiplayer segment of the game.

Max Payne 3 is to get its first downloadable content (DLC) with the Local Justice Pack set to be released on July 17th.

The DLC will bring three all-new maps to the multiplayer segment of the game, new weapons, a new item and a whole new faction gamers can play as, along with an array of Achievements and Trophies.

One map, 55th Battalion HQ, will be available for all of the multiplayer game modes, while Imperial Palace and Departure Lounge will be restricted to Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Payne Killer.

The Light Fingers item helps players loot faster, while the new weapon is a M4 Assault Rifle, which comes with all the associated attachments. The new playable faction is the Sao Paulo Police, and it comes with a wealth of customisable avatar options.

A trailer has been launched to show aspects of the new DLC in action, with all the expected slow-motion violence Max Payne fans know and love. It will be available for £5.49.

The Local Justice DLC announcement comes soon after developers Rockstar released a patch to address a variety of issues in the game, as well as make a number of tweaks to the multiplayer section.

It made Hardcore Playlists accessible after only making 1,000 kills, rather than the original figure of 5,000. Meanwhile, spawn points were adjusted, improvements made to the stability of the game, load times hastened and weapons better balanced.

Rockstar recently announced that it was calling upon its multiplayer community in order to help address the problem of cheater and hackers ruining the game for others.

Players are asked to report cheaters to the developers, who will then place them into the Cheaters Pool quarantine where they can only battle against other troublemakers.

When in the pool, they will have a review to decide whether or not to let them play with the rule-abiding players again in the future.ADNFCR-1220-ID-801397555-ADNFCR
