Logitech to release G600 MMO Gaming Mouse

Logitech join the MMO gaming mouse market with the G600.

Logitech is to add a new device to its line-up that is geared specifically to massively multiplayer online (MMO) role playing game players: the G600 MMO Gaming Mouse.

The device has been designed to be highly customisable and easy-to-use for gamers who ply their trade on titles such as World of Warcraft, Star Wars: the Old Republic and Guild Wars.

With 20 programmable buttons, MMO players can assign all kinds of skills and movements to the mouse, making their play much more fluid and quick, ensuring they can maximise their performance.

There are 12 thumb buttons numbered G9 to G20 set in groups of six on a meticulously designed panel. It is easy to use without having to look at it to know what button is being pressed.

Users can set up three different profiles on the mouse, two for MMOs and one for general gaming, meaning that players do not have to switch to a different mouse when loading up a non-MMO title.

A G-Shift button also allows users to double the number of actions they can carry out using the mouse, providing utmost control to MMO players.

In addition, gamers will have the mouse up and running in no time, as it can easily be plugged in and used out of the box. There are no timely driver installation procedures to slow customers down.

There are a number of other mice on the market targeted towards MMO players, including the World of Warcraft Cataclysm MMO Gaming Mouse from SteelSeries. It boasts a World of Warcraft theme on the hardware and the user interface, and has an impressively ergonomic shape for extended gaming sessions.

It can record up to ten profiles for characters on World of Warcraft and has 14 buttons that can be bound with specific commands.

If gamers are looking for a mouse with less of a World of Warcraft emphasis, then try the Razer Naga, which has excellent ergonomics and 12 customisable buttons. Its stand-out feature, however, is the cloud-based Razer Synapse 2.0 service, which means personal mouse settings can be accessed remotely at anytime from anywhere.ADNFCR-1220-ID-801388065-ADNFCR
