AMD FirePro S10000
AMD just launched their latest and greatest workstation graphics card. This card is aimed at seriously high-performance computing and graphics applications, AMD are calling it the most powerful solution on the market.
Lets take a quick look at the specifications of this beast:
• FirePro S10000
• Twin Tahiti GPUs
• 825MHz GPU clock
• 5.91 TFLOPS of peak single-precision floating-point performance
• 1.48 TFLOPS of peak dual-precision floating-point performance.
• 6GB of GDDR5
• 384-bit memory interface
• Memory bandwidth of 480GB/s
• PCI-Express 3.0 interface
• Four DisplayPort and single DVI output.
• 375W TDP
This is an incredible amount of power, there is no doubt about that, but to keep things cool we see there is a slick dual slot tripple fan cooling configuration on this number crunching juggernaut.
AMD claim this card can take the title of being the more powerful dual-GPU workstation graphics card ever created and also touts an increase in perfermance-per-Watt, DirectGMA support that can remove CPU bandwidth and lantency issues and optimize how it works with both GPU's as well as full OpenCL support.
The card will soon be available but no official word on price as yet. Unofficially I can tell you it will be very expensive.
