Borderlands is a sensation, no doubt about that. With the original Borderlands selling millions of copies and now Borderlands 2 performing really superbly week after week in the all format charts, it only makes sense that the games developers (Gearbox) would want to do more for this wonderful title.
Gearbox are taking borderlands over to the Apple crowd, with the planned release of Borderlands Legends coming to iOS devices later this month. This is obviously a new direction for both the game and the company and it will be interesting to see what they do with format.
Staring the original Borderlands 1, whom also feature as non playable characters in the 2nd game. It will be a on-the-go title and will still offer you thousands of weapons to collect, enemies to kill and loot for cash and all the usual Borderlands 2 experience points, unlocks and power up abilities people have come to expect from the franchise will be in place too.
The iOS version will be for iPhone and iPad, featuring randomized missions, a strategic cover system and more.
It's said to be released this month (October) although Gearbox hasn't actually announced an official date just yet. But keep your eyes peels vault hunters because an official release announcement should be just around the corner, along with pricing details and no doubt a few screenshots and trailers to keep us all entertained.
