With the start of a new week comes a new set of sales figures. There's plenty going on in the top twenty this week, with more new releases and almost a complete reshuffle of the rest of the line up. FIFA 13 is refusing to budge from the top spot, proving that even after bad reviews, minor updates and little improvement to the series, sales are still not a concern.

I fully expected Skylanders Giants to hit the #1 spot this week, with the addictive popularity of the original pretty much being king of Christmas last year, I expect a full repeat performance from this piece of marketing genius. Of course the real money maker for Skylanders is add-on characters but it's multi-platform accessibility will surely cement it in the top ten for the next couple of months.

Skylanders has already knocked Dishonored down to 3rd place. Dishonored is easily one of this years most original and exciting games and it's great to see a new IP getting so much love in veritable sea of sequels. It's interesting to see that Doom 3: BFG Edition has landed at 5th place too, a title I fully expected to fall flat on it's face after its somewhat lacklustre original launch, not sure how long it's going to hold a place in the charts though, especially given the strong release schedule over the next few weeks.

But there is a real mix of great titles overall and that's what really matters, even though there seems to be a number after just about every game that comes out these days. With XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Rock Smith and Sleeping Dogs holding up on the new side of things and old favourites like Pokemon, Mario, Forza and Gran Turismo picking up the slack.

This is all about to change though as we dash toward Christmas, Halo and Call of Duty are just around the corner and it's going to be a battle to the death for this years #1 spot. Which title are you most looking forward to this year?
