So it has come to light that the next installment of Skyrim DLC could be called "Dragonborn". Not the most imaginative title given the theme of the game, but I'll go with that.
Ravenous data hungry PC gamers have been combing through the Skyrim data files of the open-world RPG, which since its recent update has seen multiple references to "DLC2" and "Dragonborn". So obviously this is a bit of rumour and speculation, but the word on mountable dragons has been pretty strong and those of us with the PC edition of the game have already seen this achieved thanks to the Steam Workshop.
The title Dragonborn was in fact trademarked by Zenimax (Bethesda's parent company), for use in reference to downloadable gaming software earlier this year.
Console gamers have already had two bouts of DLC from the Bethesda camp in the form of Dawnguard, a vampire filled expansion and Hearthfire, which may as well have been called "The Sims - Skyrim".
This will no doubt have fans salivating at the idea of returning to these former lands, but for now we'll just have to wait for the official announcement. With Christmas on the horizon, I would expect we'll not only hear something in time for the holiday season, but likely see the launch of the new content.
