With the start of a new week comes a new set of sales figures. This week comes with something that supprised me, Borderlands 2 has dropped to 2nd place! Now this has happened for a few reasons the first one being that everyone I know has bought the game, first week sales were unbelivable for the game but it just doesn't have as wide an audience as Fifa 13. The only difference I see is that Fifa 13 will trail off the charts quicker than Borderlands 2, as I expect the latter to survive in the top 20 until well after christmas. With the top spot taken we have also seen F1 2012 drop to 3rd place, but given the specialist nature of this game I expect it will start slowly ticking down the charts after a strong first week.
Strong new entries this week from the rock-em-up real guitar game Rocksmith, World of Warcrafts latest DLC Mists of Pandaria, Dead or Alive 5, Forza 4, Angry Birds and Gran Turismo 5 hit the top 20, not all new releases but a sure sign that people are starting both the Christmas shopping and that the new PS3 Super Slim bundles are selling nicely.
We've got some huge game releases this month and even more next, so who knows what games will really survice through till 2013 in the charts, but you can be certain Black Ops II and Halo 4 will be strong contenders.
