I’m sure a lot of us remember the 1994 classic called Beneath a Steel Sky by Revolution Software a, wait for it, full British developer based in York (I know I didn’t believe it when playing it in 1994) where you play a young bot called Robert in a post-apocalyptic Australia, it was great fun when I was 14 playing this game on my Commodore Amiga with my best friend trying to work out what was going on.
Beneath a Steel Sky
Well now Revolution Software’s Revolution co-founder Tony Warriner has decided that due to “the recent level of interest in a sequel to Beneath a Steel Sky” they will be making Beneath a Steel Sky 2, I know right, I’m also jumping up and down with excitement as well. The only snag is that “we (Revolution Software) plan to go into development following the release of Broken Sword” which has only just started development, but still I can’t wait to see what they come up with.
If you are yet to play Beneath a Steel Sky then I suggest that you pick up a copy from one of my favourite websites (after CCL) which is good old games (www.gog.com) which will play on most formats including Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7
