With the start of a new week comes a new set of sales figures, this week we can see that Guild Wars 2 has in fact been bumped not only from the top spot but hammered all the way down to 6th place, initial sales for the title were solid but only time will tell if it can really maintain the pace to keep itself in the top 20.
But back on form is the superb Sleeping dogs, which has picked itself up from 2nd place to steal the show. But I was surprised to see that The Sims 3: Supernatural sold strong enough to enter the charts at #2, showing there is still some life in the now long running series and its many DLC packs. Dead Island is still selling well too, seeing a lift from 12th place right up to 8th place showing the series still has some legs.
But as usual Battlefield 3, Call of Duty, Fifa, Batman and Skyrim are still in their prime and will no doubt show no signs of slowing down until after Christmas or their next incarnations have been released, although I expect Skyrim to still do well over the next 6 months or more as we see it getting into its stride in terms of DLC.
