All new Resident Evil 6 demo inbound

Capcom set to unleash all new demo for zombie fest Resident Evil 6 on September 18th

News came directly from Capcom this afternoon that on September 18th Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 owners will be able to download the all new Resident Evil 6 demo from XBL and PSN. Even better is that the new demo comes as an all new experience to that offered exclusively to the people who purchases Dragon's Dogma a few months ago, meaning that we can all get our hands on the game in finally see if it lives up to the Resident Evil name once and for all.

The fun doesn't stop there either with the demo serving up content from Resident Evil 6's 3 main campaigns, both in solo play, or online co-op (no word on local co-op?!?). You will soon have the opportunity to take control of both Leon S. Kennedy or Helena Harper as you explore the no doubt dangerous grounds of Ivy University.

"The action in Jake’s mission switches to the neon-lit streets of Lanshiang as he and Sherry Berkin fight off the J’avo, including their fully mutated forms. Be sure to check out Jake’s special hand-to-hand combat moves and Sherry’s stun baton as you struggle to stay alive." - Capcom PR.

In addition, for those owners of the PlayStation 3 version of Dragon’s Dogma, the exclusive demo previously only available for Xbox 360 owners will be available from September 5 to download via token redemption on the PlayStation Store.

Resident Evil 6 is set for a European and North American release on both Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 2nd.
