D-Link DCS 932-L Review

In need of a security camera for your home? Maybe D-link can help.

D-link are a name synonymous with networking products, so it is no surprise that they also have a range of IP cameras on the market. Today I will be looking at one such product from them, namely the D-Link DCS-932L which is a Day/Night Cloud Camera. The cloud aspect of this camera is something very interesting and something I will cover later in this review.

About D-Link

Founded in 1986 as Datex Systems, D-Link has come a long way since its early days of just making network adaptors. Going on to become a designer, developer, and a manufacturer of networking solutions and hardware for both consumers and business markets.

D-Link now has a large array of many different products. For businesses this includes switches, surveillance network cameras, firewalls, iSCSI SANs and business wireless, while consumer products cover consumer wireless devices, broadband devices, and Digital Home devices (which include media players, storage, and surveillance camera/NVR).

The Packaging

The D-Link DCS-932L comes supplied in a small box, with a window that shows off the diminutive size of the camera itself.

The rear of the box goes in to detail about the actual features of the camera and showcases the DCS-932L’s cloud ability. An ability which allows you to remotely view the camera by logging in over at, again something I will look at later in the review.

Included with the D-Link DCS-932L are a flat network cable, the mains adapter, a driver disc, and two screws which are supplied to allow you to mount the device.

The included mains adapter as the image shows has an impressively long cable, which is good for people wanting to mount the camera high up.

On the back of the camera, there is the network port, power socket, and a WPS button which helps connect the camera to a wireless network.
