Do you remember playing Shaq Fu? If you do, then you can be sure to remember how terrible it was, the fact that it spawned a site that was dedicated to not just finding copies, but destroying them is testament to its poor quality, but hey we can blame the French for it can’t we?
Get the old Shaq Fu out of your mind, if you haven’t already locked the memories up, I can tell you about something that should hopefully make up for it. Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn is up for funding on Indiegogo, and it aims to be nothing like its predecessor.
Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn, is being put together by Big Deez Productions in partnership with Shaquille O’Neal himself. Big Deez Productions is team of professionals with masses of experience from a huge variety of gaming franchises, including Street Fighter, Final Fantasy, Alan Wake, Spec Ops: The Line and many more, from the production image alone, it is easily apparent that the art style is taking after the more recent entries in the Street Fighter range of games.
There are a lot of very nice perks, based on your contribution level, including signed memorabilia, access to the beta, or if you have deep enough pockets you can meet and greet with the great Shaq himself, although for that level of reward travel is not included.
I have played Shaq Fu, and I can only hope that a lot of effort goes into this new game to make it memorable for good reasons, rather than gaining notoriety for being one of the worst games on a console.
