The fabled Retron 5 gaming console has been delayed, due to faulty cartridge connectors in units already packed for shipping- most certainly a sad day. This means that the console that was due to launch on December 10th, is now not expected to be shipped to fulfill eager pre orders (like my own) until early 2014.

For those that haven't read anything about it the Retron 5 is a console that caters towards the retro gamer, offering a single console with support for classic game cartridges such as the Nes, Snes, Mega Drive, and Gameboy Advance (as well as others) so is perfect for retro game collectors or people who dislike emulators.

The console had already been delayed in the past, so this will likely be no surprise to people who preorderd as soon as they were originally announced, but here is hoping Hyperkin can get this resolved quickly and give people something to look forward to next year.
