DICE has finally announced that the highly-anticipated action blockbuster Battlefield 4 will be available this Christmas for next-gen consoles, making the temptation to go next-gen all that much sweeter.
Of course the next game will be available for the current generation of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but short of investing in a PC there won't be a better looking edition than those on the XO and PS4.
"Powered by the advanced Frostbite 3 engine, Battlefield 4 delivers a genre-defining all-out war experience brought to life with unmatched visual and audio fidelity, superior character animations and dynamic destruction that ensures no two matches are alike."
The game will be available on November 1st for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC and will be out in time for Christmas on the next-gen consoles, although EA have been clever to avoid a final date for those given that Microsoft and Sony have yet to confirm the "exact" day we can kiss the contents of our wallets good bye, although all bets are on mid October for both consoles.
Don't forget that DICE will be unveiling Battlefield 4's multiplayer with a live demo at “The Download: EA 2013 Preview” press conference, taking place at 9:00 pm GMT on Monday, June 10 on Spike TV and at http://www.ea.com/e3.
