This was a good upgrade from my 1050Ti and didn't break the bank in the process. The boost clocks are good and the twin fans mean that it runs at around 63 degrees Celcius under full load in my setup, which is a Ryzen 5600X with 16GB of Corsair DDR 3600 RAM. The metal backplate means that there is no stress on the board when mounted vertically.
The ASUS website support section has Armory Crate as part of the utilities for this card. My advice, is don't bother downloading and installing it, the card doesn't have any RGB and it caused issues on my Windows 11 installation. Also the uninstaller didn't remove it fully from Windows, with some of the services left behind which had to be manually uninstalled from the command line.
Most of the games I play don't have RTX support so I haven't really experienced the ray tracing yet. On the whole I'm really happy with it and its a big improvement over the 1050Ti for gaming at 1080p.
My only gripe is that its still a bit expensive for what is really an entry level card, but that's the current GPU market.
The card was despatched quickly by CCL and the free delivery service from them was excellent with the usual 1 hour time slot from DPD.
