Q: How long do CMOS batteries tend to last these days!? The reason I'm asking is because, in order to change it on this motherboard, it looks as though I'd have to take out the graphics card to get to it. I'm considering installing a Radeon 7770 on this board and by the sounds of it they take up a bit of room.
Answer by Dan@CCL on 20th January 2014
I can't even remember the last time I had to change one! It will depend on the quality of the batteries as better batteries will last longer, but you should be looking at a couple of years at least. -Danlevan

Q: Hi I was looking to replace my old HD 6670 card with something more like an R9 280x , however apparently the 450W PSU that came with my PC is not sufficient enough to run it and needs to be replaced; If I replace it with say a 600W or 750W PSU will it be compatible with the motherboard?
Answer by Website User on 14th December 2013
The R9 280X cards recommend a 750W power supply and require both a 6 and 8 pin PCI-Express power connector - any power supply meeting these requirements will be compatible with this motherboard. -Danlevan

Q: Planning on buying with mobo and a AMD FX-6300 CPU. What cpu coolers can I fit to it without covering the DIMM slots? had this one in mind. http://www.cclonline.com/product/26469/CNPS7000C-CU/CPU-Coolers/Zalman-CNPS7000C-Super-Flower-CPU-Cooler/CLR4095/?siteID=8BacdVP0GFs-6vjlP2AZfmXBh7XhGJu0KQ
Answer by CCL on 26th February 2013
I think the Zalman would obstruct at least the first RAM slot. There doesn't look to be much space between the RAM slots and the CPU socket, so the stock cooler would be your best bet. I don't have any listings unfortunately for coolers that will definately not cover any of the RAM slots. -Danlevan

The motherboard you have only supports 1333MHz as the maximum, so you would be unable to put 1600MHz or 1866MHz RAM in there. The Mobo in the picture is a Rev4 board, When I bought my board from CCL it was a Rev5 board. The upgraded board comes in black not blue. The Rev 5 doesn't require a bios update for the top end FX chips. I am currently running a FX8350 overclocked to 4.5 ghz. You dont get Sata 3 only Sata2 but with a cheap SSD this is no problem. The ram is set as 1333 as standard but overclocking from the bios speeds this up. Good board for those with little money. Recommended Mike The Owl
