Q: i have heard that the image quality and viewing angle of this monitor are terrible, is this true? i really want a good quality monitor and the last acer monitor monitor i bought (22") had terribly washed out colours and the screen literally had to be viewed from only one angle, it was an LCD monitor and i had to return it. please be honest, i do not want to buy this monitor only to return it wasting both your and my time. thanks.

This is mainly due to the panel type used in a lot of LCD/LED monitors, which is known as TN. Whilst this technology has an excellent refresh rate, it has poor viewing angles. For your needs we would recommend an IPS monitor as they have fantastic viewing angles and excellent colour reproduction and contrast. -MR

Q: Hello, You've two nice looking Acer monitors that I'm interested in .. roughly same screen size and roughly same price.. one is an S series and the other the G series. Now other than the thinness of the unit (I know the S unit is thinner) what are the major differences between the screens? Thinness isn't important to me, but am i getting anything extra with the G series over the S series? I look forward to your answer.. please I'd be very happy for you to get technical and give me lots of detail. Thanks, James

The S series monitors are of a higher quality than the G series. They are slimmer and more elegantly designed, with higher quality materials. The S Series uses mercury-free materials and white LED technology for up to 68% lower power consumption, and also meets ENERGY STAR® 5.0 requirements. It also usually offeres better contrast ratio than the G series.
