Q: looking to buy 4 PSUs for low spec desktops for office work. they will be on for long durations, would these handle the workload, or should i look at the CIT 450W Gold? PCs are currently running 500W PSUs, and have had 2 fail out of the box - a dodgy batch of machines.

For always on systems I would recommend a higher end supply personally, from our choice 450W on code PSU0505 or upwards, but either of those supplies will be capable of powering those systems. -Danlevan

The guy at CCL gave you great advice, you should have listened.Too often, the poor quality psus take entire rigs in case of the failure.

The guy at CCL told me I'd have to spend £50 + to get a PSU that is silent, obviously hasn't tested this one! It's the best 12quid I've ever spent!!! I fitted one this afternoon for a new AMD build for my parents. The red fan is 120mm so good airflow, plenty of connectors ans YES it is very quiet! very rare for such a cheap PSU Time will tell how long it lasts! lol
