Q: Hi. Does this USB stick have a flashing LED to show when transferring data so you know when the transfer has finished? Also what is the typical read write speeds. Your website really should have this sort of info already so enabling a proper product comparison. Else how can we possibly choose from the many units on offer? Thanks.

This unit does not have an LED indicator. I cannot find any performance spec for this stick, and none are listed on Kingston's website so unfortunately I would be unable to state the read/write speeds. -Danlevan

Q: Can this USB stick be formatted into a bootable USB for installing an OS (Windows 7 or Linux) on a laptop or desktop that already supports booting from USB devices?

Q: Won't the socket fill up with gunge and fluff from pockets if on a key ring?

That depends on how dirty your pockets are :) Kidding aside, this is a capless stick so unfortunately there is a possibility that the connector on this stick could become clogged.

Don't think I have ever has "gunge" in my pockets. Suggest you consider washing more before considering this stick.
