Great little drive, installed in the girlfriends old HP NC6220 laptop and installed Windows 7 Home Premium, now runs great for an old laptop with plenty of space. Very quiet drive too :)

Fitted this into an old HP Compaq nx9005 laptop and, although it worked, it was very slow and CPU workload was high as it dropped back to PIO access rather than Ultra DMA. Using Samsung ES-Tool software I reset the Max size of the drive to around 130GB (rather than the full 160GB) and that solved the problem. Motherboard cannot cope with 160GB and just using smaller partition was not enough - need to change the max size setting in drive itself. Having done that it is now very fast and very quiet.

As long as your laptop accepts the IDE Interface then in theory any 2.5" Hard Drive should fit.
