What motherboard would give me multiple USB ports (I have no USB3 devices yet, but lots of USB2) and allow me to fit up to 32Gb of memory. I mainly use Photoshop CS6 with twin 27" screens, both screens attached to machines with their own graphics cards. The only sounds I have are notifications. I am upgrading the slower of my machines, I use them on alternate days so the most I can lose is a days work, even if the backups don't work. I would like to try video editing from my Canon cameras. Yours in expectation, Mike Lee

The Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 (MBD0350) will be compatible with this processor, can take 32GB memory and has 8 USB ports. -Danlevan

In the main the description, it refers to 'AM3+ Socket / 95W' however under the 'Specification' tab, under 'Electrical' it shows 'Thermal Guideline 125 W'. Is this correct?

The description was incorrect, this chip is 125W. -Danlevan

what motherboard would you recommend with this cpu??
Posted on Thursday 3rd May 2012 at 16:58
That would really depend on your budget, as motherboards that support this processor range from £35 to £180+. MBD0327 or MBD0167 are a good middle ground. -Danlevan
