Yes, this drive will work. However, as this is a slower storage drive, it will perform slower than a 7200Rpm drive. It will work fine, though. -Danlevan

My motherboard is only 3gb/s. Will this drive work OK with it? And what is the warranty on the drive?

Yes, this is fully backwards compatible with a SATA II port. Western Digital Caviar Green hard drives have a 2 year warranty. -Danlevan
