between the OCZ 128GB Vertex 4 Solid State Drive and this one?
Posted on Monday 17th September 2012 at 17:49
The new Vertex 4 drives use the latest Everest 2 controller, and are generally just a better performing drive than the Agility 3. -Danlevan

I have heard about the sandforce controller bugs and they have been fixed or so people say but im unsure to get the 120gb one or the 90gb for like £67 i think its currently at i mean for £5 more i can get 30 more gb but im still concerned about the ssd going dodgey over firmware issues and then having to pay another £72 for a new ssd as i heard when ssd go wrong its kinda hard ti fix them esp the sandforce controller ones!!! If the bugs have been 100% fixed then would you reccomend i get the 120gb one for £72 and how reliable is it will it brake down on me or have issues if not then i think il be getting the 120gb ssd on tuesday 21st :D so that i can upgrade the gaming rig from a 1tb boot and sotrage drive to a 120gb ssd boot and 1tb storage :D thanks.

To the best of my knowledge all the Sandforce issues are fixed, we sell many of these drives and haven't heard of any reliability problems with them. -Danlevan

The MacBook 5 1 uses a SATA hard drive so this should be fine. -Danlevan

I would say they are as reliable as any other brand we sell and also come with a 3 year warranty for piece of mind.
