Q: Hi, just wondering if my Leonite 2 motherboard PCIe slot will work as I believe it is PCIe 1 and this board is 2?

I am running the p4i65gv motherboard, 1gb ram, intel pentium 4, windows xp and 350W PSU, I am looking to be spending upto £40 and I want a graphics card to speed the graphics up, at the moment it lags during games and videos, I have the nvidia geforce fx 5500 running at the moment, I would prefer a gaming graphics card but I would settle for something just to speed the graphics up a little.

Q: can you tell me how this would compare to a ATI radeon HD 2600XT i'm looking for something comparable but quieter thanks
Answer by CCL on 12th June 2012
This card would be slightly lower spec than what you currently have. The Nvidia 210 would offer a lot similar performance (has a higher benchmark score) and if you wish to go for quieter operation you can have a look at heatsink versions with no fans however you would need to have good air cooling in your case to ensure against over heating.

Q: Can you tell me if this graphics card will be suitable for my Acer T180 AMD Athlon 64x2 4GB DDR2. Will the power supply be suficent as I only need this so i can use my TV as a large monitor through the HDMI Port. Thanks Mick
Q: Will the power supply in my acer t180 AMD 62x2 be adequate for this graphics card. I want to be able to connect a hdmi monitor to it. Thanks
Answer by CCL on 17th March 2012
This graphics card does list a power supply requirement of 350W. While this is generally only a recommendation, the t180 came with a 250W power supply. As long as you haven't added any devices to the system to create any additional draw you should be ok, but this is quite a low powered supply so I could not guarantee it would work. -Danlevan

Q: Will this work on a 250 watt psu??
Answer by CCL on 14th February 2012
Generally speaking, a 250W power supply would be insufficient to power this card. If your power supply is a very high quality unit you may be ok, but the majority of power supplies of this rating will not be able to do it.

Q: Can this run new games like battlefield 3?
Answer by Dan@CCL on 17th January 2012
Battlefield 3 should run at lower settings, but this is a budget card so you would not get very high performance on new high end games.

Q: How do I get this high profile bracket off the card and get the low profile one on?!
Answer by Website User on 4th August 2011
Hi Bob, next to the DVI port will be two threaded hexagonal nuts, these are the same part that the cable screws into. These will screw out allowing you to remove the bracket. You can get them out with a teeny tiny socket but I find a pair of pliers to be much quicker and less fiddly. The fitting process of the smaller bracket is the same but in reverse.

Q: Does this card come with a low profile bracket?
Answer by CCL on 21st June 2011
This graphics card does come with a low profile bracket which means taking the VGA connection off the graphics card which would leave you with the HDMi and DVI connections.
