Retail version of the 2500k usually comes with a 3 year warranty, is that the case for ccl as well?
Posted on Friday 6th April 2012 at 11:43
The 3 year warranty is a manufacturer warranty, and this applies to boxed retail processors. We warranty all our products for the first year, outside of this you would need to go to Intel direct. -Danlevan

Would I need to buy a separate CPU fan?
Posted on Thursday 5th April 2012 at 10:15
This is a retail boxed processor, so comes with fan and heatsink. You would only need to buy a different fan if you were overclocking the processor, as the Intel fans are only designed to cool at the stock speeds. -Danlevan

I received an email saying you were selling this CPU for £87.74. Mistake or dirty sales tactics?
Posted on Saturday 24th March 2012 at 09:09
This unfortunately was an error. The link on the email and product description are for the i3-2100, which is that price, but the name of this processor was listed in error. -Danlevan

Could you use the Intel i5-2500K with the Asus P979 Motherboard?
Posted on Monday 16th January 2012 at 12:49
This processor should be fine on any socket 1155 motherboard, but the P7X79 is a socket 2011 motherboard, so would not be compatibile.

In the description for the chip it states 'Intel HD 2000 Graphics' , I thought the 2500k had Intel HD 3000 graphics.
Posted on Saturday 15th October 2011 at 10:12
Indeed, it does indeed come with Intel HD3000 Onboard Graphics, I will forward this to the web team so that the description can be ammended.

What motherboard would u suggest + price please
Posted on Tuesday 6th September 2011 at 15:36
I would recommend either the Asus P8P67 (stock code MBD1294, £125.25) or the Gigabyte GA-P67A (MBD1265, £138.24) Depending on how much RAM you would like to use with the system, the Asus might be your best bet, as it supports up to 32 GB.
