This router would give enhanced performance with multiple connections at the same time, if you were using anything that required port forwarding or were looking for enhanced security features.

Unfortunately most ISP will provide value routers and can hinder the performance of your internet. If you have noticed slow internet it maybe an option to upgrade to a better and faster unit.

Q: The blurb above says "Can Make an Excellent Upgrade from Service Providers Offering!!" - but what would it do for me that an O2 wireless box, for example, wouldn't?
Answer by Website User on 8th November 2011
It all depends on the specification of the router given to you by your ISP, if you compare that model and this model you will be able to see if it would be a worthwhile upgrade. If your existing ISP provided router is 54mbps or 150mbps for example, this will be faster at 300mbps.

Q: Your specs for this item indicate LAN port speed of 10/100/1000bps ( i do presume you mean mbps, not just bps, that would just be silly) (ie.
