is this ram suitable for up grading a Dell Dimension 4600 to 4gb using 4 units or could you recomend an alternative many thanks.

Your system comes up as taking 333Mhz memory, so RAM2149 would be better. -Danlevan

Is this ram no ECC ? and will it do a Dell dimension 3000?

This RAM is non-ECC, and is supported by the Dell Dimension 3000 series computers. Note that the Dell Dimension series works better with RAM in pairs, so you would need two sticks to get the best performance. -MR

This completely depends on usage however it will add a significant speed increase.
