Hi - I have a Compaq Presario SR1639UK with 4 x 512MB memory sticks. Would 4 x 1GB CCL Choice memory be a suitable/compatible upgrade?

Will this ram be compatible with the Abit AV8 motherboard (Which uses the VIA K8T800 Pro chipset).
If not, could you possibly suggest some sort of suitable upgrade. Many thanks

It theoretically should, however 333MHz memory is recommended over 400Mhz. RAM2149 might be a better bet for compatibility, however is quite a bit more expensive. -Danlevan

is this ram suitable for up grading a Dell Dimension 4600 to 4gb using 4 units or could you recomend an alternative many thanks.

Your system comes up as taking 333Mhz memory, so RAM2149 would be better. -Danlevan

Is this ram no ECC ? and will it do a Dell dimension 3000?
Posted on Tuesday 15th January 2013 at 17:43
This RAM is non-ECC, and is supported by the Dell Dimension 3000 series computers. Note that the Dell Dimension series works better with RAM in pairs, so you would need two sticks to get the best performance. -MR

This RAM is no longer available, however the Corsair Value (RAM7007) should do the job. -Danlevan
