Mobile technologies company Nokia is poised to join the PC market with the release of its new netbook.
The Booklet 3G is built with an aluminum chassis and weighs in at just 1.25kg, making it compact and portable.
With a 10.1-inch glass HD-ready screen and integrated WiFi, 3G HSPA and GPS network functionality, the netbook is ideal for commuting business workers who need a reliable and functional computer.
Its three USB ports and SD card slot make reading and writing data on external devices easy, while Microsoft's new Windows 7 operating system gives the machine a boost.
The company has stated that it hopes to install a hot-swappable SIM slot, meaning that users will be capable of switching between 3G connections without first having to shut down the netbook.
Full specifications for the Booklet 3G are scheduled for release at the firm's Nokia World event, which is due to take place at the Messe Stuttgart in Germany on September 2nd and 3rd, its website states.
