Online rental service GameFly has launched the public beta for its new PC client, which it claims will be a one-stop shop for all your gaming needs.

Available for free, GameFly's PC client will provide access to the Unlimited PC Play library - an archive of hundreds of games that can be accessed online, anytime, anywhere.

That library is continually growing as a host of developers continue to add titles old and new, core and classic to the back catalogue for free play.

"We are thrilled to finally be able to open up the beta so anyone interested in video games can start using the client, and we are hard at work expanding our catalogue of  PC titles for our users to play for free in the Unlimited PC Play section," said Sean Spector, GameFly co-founder and senior vice-president of business development and content.

"Casual to hardcore gamers can enjoy titles like Assassin's Creed, Deus Ex or Saints Row 2, to Earthworm Jim, Jewel Quest or World of Goo at no additional cost to their GameFly subscription."

Among the many developers currently signed up to the site are the likes of Ubisoft, Atari, THQ, Capcom and Bohemia Interactive.

The PC client will also give visitors to the site the latest news on games, along with opinion, guides and strategy for the top titles. GameFly will also furnish it with the latest screen shots and video content, HD included, to whet users' appetites for upcoming releases.

GameFly currently has over 8,000 titles to rent from its online services, which uses the LoveFilm model of no postage charges, late fees or due dates. The firm is now also set to branch out into sales of PC games, with around 1,500 PC/Mac-based games on offer at any one time from the PC client.ADNFCR-1220-ID-801247457-ADNFCR
