BigFoot Networks Killer 2100 Network Card
Ask about a gaming PC and you’ll get talk of the best graphics card, best CPU, motherboard and memory to suit your budget. Following on from these will be recommendations of power supplies, cases, hard drives and maybe an SSD or Blu-ray drive. Networking is the one thing left out and so you wonder: is onboard networking adequate or, much like onboard graphics, not recommended for gaming?
Bigfoot Networks (BFN), a five year old Californian company, would answer with the latter. The company is dedicated to developing a groundbreaking combination of software and hardware for gamers and consumers that maximise network performance and through this enhance the online experience. For the past couple of weeks I have been testing one of their products, the Killer 2100 Network Interface Card (NIC). Does it improve the online experience of either consumer or gamer?
