Sapphire has announced the release of a new high performance graphics card with silent heatpipe cooler.

Building on previous models, the Ultimate Edition of the Sapphire HD 5670 boasts a total of 400 stream processors and 1GB of GDDR5 memory.

It can reach core and memory clock speeds of 775MHz and 1,000MHz respectively and is fully DirectX 11 and Windows 7 compatible.

The card features Dual-Link DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, while it also ships with DVI-to-VGA and HDMI-to-DVI adaptors for ease of use with display devices.

Gamers could find the graphics card offers enhanced details, transparency and lighting effects, as well as having a low power consumption.

The company states: "As the core technology is low power, no external power connection is required, making this series ideal for system upgrades or mainstream PCs that do not have high end power supplies."

Other technologies included in the Ultimate HD 5670 include Dynamic Power Management, CrossFire and CrossFireX.
