Pretec has unveiled two new SD memory cards which it claims are the fastest and have the highest capacity of their type in the world.

The cards are not yet available for purchase but Pretec showcased them at the Photo Marketing Association International trade show in Las Vegas.

It is said by the firm that the
SDXC card at 32 gigabyte capacity, which can currently read and write data at 50 megabytes per second, is the biggest and fastest in the world.

But even those specifications will soon be improved with the target of two terabytes and a speed of 104 megabytes per second now in sight.

Meanwhile the
CF card with a speed of 100 megabytes per second and sizes of up to 64 gigabytes is also a record breaker, according the company.

Pretec has been creating flash cards and USB sticks since 1993.ADNFCR-1220-ID-19057266-ADNFCR
