Synology has announced the availability of its brand new DiskStation Manager 3.2 for owners of the last several generations of the popular NAS box (x08 models and newer).
Synology has a live demo available on its website that we reported on earlier and tells us that DiskStation Manager 3.2 is full of features that deliver a more efficient, intuitive and rich user experience in many key areas. These include business convergence and management efficiency, business mobility but without neglecting improved consumer features such as Photo Station 5 and support for Mac OSX Lion with Time Machine.
There's also mention of a revamped Package Centre - allowing users to locate and install applications effortlessly - and the company's Hybrid RAID offering is now said to prepare volumes for use, up to 95 per cent faster than previously.
