Overview

The StarTech.com 8cm x 8cm x 2.5cm (3 1/8 x 3 1/8 x 1) Dual Ball Bearing PC case fan is an add-in cooling fan designed to fit most computers. It can be used to circulate cool air into the case or exhaust warm air out, preventing problems due to overheating components. A quiet running brushless ball bearing DC motor coupled with a high efficiency blade design is capable of moving 32 CFM (cubic feet per minute) of air. Power is supplied to the fan using a 3-lead TX3 connector that plugs into the motherboard and allows the system to monitor fan speed and operating status.

Well, the product I received is a fan and it works very well. However, I the final and correct one was the third attemept to get the correct fan.I had to buy two others first before finally getting this one. The connectors on the others were not correct. The advert was not clear about the 3 / 4 pin power connector on the fan to the motherboard and the help with returning the first two was zero having been told they would not take back the first two (unopened) fans. Otherwise the fan itself is great. It is quiet and does a good job - no noise or overheating. 5* for fan, minus 2 for customer service...
